Less than a month

I know i havn't posted anything in like ever =P I have just been to busy aka to lazy. But i will be home in 24 days and i can't wait to see everyone!!! :)

Romans 3:23-24

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God," Romans 3:23 But praise be that the verse doesn't end there. "and are justified by is grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus." Romans 3:24. I think to many times we remember the first verse and don't realize that that sentence is not done. There is a comma at the end of the sentence. The sentence goes on to say that we are justified. We do not have to feel downtrodden because of our sin. We have been given the grace of God as a gift.

Jazz Festival And Rugby Match

Sorry i havn't posted in a while. I have just been really busy :)

So on September 4th I went to a jazz festival that Richard was photographing :):) It was so good! I mean most of the time i was just plying on my ipod while listening to the music. But to me that is what jazz is, something to listen to while you do other things :) It was great! Here are some pictures.





And then on the 12th i got to go to a rugby be game thanks to Lewis Roderick, one of the pastors. After Church we went to his house to eat lunch with his wife. And for the record he has like the coolest backyard ever! And then we went to the game. it was the Newport Dragons verses the Glascow Warriors. It took me a while to get used to the game but towards the end i got the hang of it :) And in the end the dragons won :)

London Day 2

Sorry i am so far behind guys i have just been busy and posting on this blog hasn't been top priority.

So I woke up the next morning with a fairly good amount of sleep and checked out of the place at around 10. After that i went to Starbucks for breakfast and headed off to buckingham palace. To get there i had to walk through these gardens and hyde park which is a beautiful place!!

I would love to go running there every morning.


This was a really cool status in Hyde Park.

So after walking through there i made it to Buckingham Palace where i got to go through The Muse which had all of the carriages including this one that was almost three tons i believe.



And then i got to go through the art collection of Victoria and Albert but i wasn't allowed to take pictures :( The coolest part of the whole thing was i got to see this picture



And then i went to the main area in front of Buckingham Palace. It was so cool to actually be in front of it :)



Oh and i got to see a guard march :):) it was just as funny as in movies



After that i just went through london just looking around before stoping at Startbucks because my feet were killing me! After chillen there for about two hours i got on the bus and headed home :)

London is now one of my favorite cities in the entire world! I loved it! I could easily live there :) So i will be defiantly be going there again.


English fact: There on position for light switches is our off position =P

London Day 1

Okay i have put this off long enough and i can't eat my pizza till i write this so i think i am going to do this.

So last week i went to London for those of you who didn't know. It was AMAZING!! i could totally live there! It is such a lovely town. I went up sunday right after church. The bus ride was only two hoursish so that was great. I got there at 5 and went to Starbucks so i could get my bearings. From there i decided to head down to Big Ben because i wanted to hit that before it got dark. On my way there i came up to this huge abbey and realized that it was Westminster Abbey.


And when i got there i found out that i made it just in time for the Evening Service, which in its self was amazing!! But what was more amazing is that i got to go into the abbey with out having to pay anything :):) So the service was great with the small downside of it being held by a sister, but i was able to get past that fast. After that was done i headed across the street to see the Palace of Westminster


And I got to see Big Ben :):) It was so cool to actually see the places that you read about all the time and see pictures of and dream to see


After taking loads of pictures there i crossed the river themes and went over to the London Eye


Also by then the sun was setting and i was able to get this amazing picture of Big Ben with the sun setting behind some buildings.


So i went and got my tickets for the London Eye went and got in and line and got on. Now i thought that because i am afraid of heights and this thing gets really heigh (Almost 500 feet!!) that i would be really scared but i actually wasn't. That is mostly in-part to the size of the glass capsules that you are in. They are really big and can fit like 20 people. So because of that i wasn't scared at all =D Yay me! And i am so glad i went up because i was able to get some amazing pictures!!!




Okay maybe i was scared just a bit ;)


After the London Eye I headed over to my hostel which was very interesting because one of the parks that i needed to walk through to get to my hostel was closed so i had to go around it. And that meant that for the next hour i was semi lost, wandering around london, or should i say the night london which is totally different, Going down a street that was full of cops and drunk people. But i finally made it and settled into my room. And after being woke up at 1:30 by people coming into the room went to bed.

So that was my first day at London. I will do the Second day soon....Hopefully. And then i will write about this amazing jazz Festival.

Interesting fact about England: The Police Men in London actually wear the funny hat :):) like the tall curved one that all the kids books show them wearing.

For those of you that didn't know becided to go to london for two days. I left right after church and just made it. I can't wait to start taking pictures! :)

Chemist and Step Up and Maryland Cookies.. Oh My

Yesterday i saw something that i have read about my whole life but never seen. A chemist Shop!! It was so cool! Cause i have read about those in books but never seen them. And I got to see Step Up and met some great people. :)

interesting fact: they have a brand of cookies called a maryland cookie over here. it is just a chocolate chip cookie but it is called a maryland cookie.

I am going to try to post more interesting things that i find out while over here.

Churches and Nighttime

So i had an amazing time tonight. After going to richards homegroup were we played cranium (which my team tied for first): Richard, Dan, and I went to this abandoned Church with a bell tower that was in this valley.


It was so cool cause it was 11:00 and everything was dark. We had to use torches to see anything even where we were walking. And then we went up into the bell tower. The stairs were so small! it was crazy!


But it was sooo worth it! When you got to the top (which is way taller than our church's steeple) You could see all the stars and and the whole valley below. It was so Awesome! It made me realize how small i really was and how big God really is. (Isaiah 40)

So this week is going to be kinda easy till sunday. We have a big visitor sunday that i will be helping with alot. And i will be getting my camera back this sunday =D so i will be able to start taking pictures again :D

Sunday

So on Sunday i got see Corrine :) It was great to see someone i knew =D After church we went to Cardiff for the day with her friends. It was great. We at this great restaurant that i forgot the name of lol. And then we went to cardiff castle which was soo amazing!!! And i got to hold a falcon. I don't have my camera at the moment but these are pictures of the castle that i found online.





So i am having a great time. And i am thinking about going to London for the day on saturday :) we shall see.

ALMOST TWO WEEKS!!!!

Wow it is hard to believe that it has been two weeks. it feels like it has been less than that. But ya wow...Two weeks :):) Tomorrow i plan on shopping tomorrow and then go watch a movie. :) I'm glad its friday night

Sunday and Monday

I have been having an amazing time so far!! On sunday i went to church and heard an amazing message from Isaiah 40. And then after that i went to someones house with richard. Where we ate an amazing meal of pasta and bread. Chatted a bit and then watch the book of Eli. I also stayed up and watched the cowboy bengal game which we won :):) that made me very happy. But that meant that i was really tired the next day. But i went to work. Worked on james and helped liam with some things. And then at 5 richard picked me up and we went to eat dinner with a family that is a friend of richards. I really had a great time there. I had an amazing meal and had some very meaningful discussion. So that was my amazing weekendish lol. I have a pretty light week this week but am really looking forward to it. I get to read this book called Case for Christ. Can't wait. Miss all of you few readers lol ;)

My first Pint!!

So last night i had my first pint of ale! it was really good =D me and richard went out to the pub. And then afterwards we played pool and got some pizza. It was an amazing night!! =D really fun! Here are the pictures of me and my beer.

I have a Camera!!

I now have a camera charger :) So i can finally take some pictures. I will try to post them either tonight or tomorrow. The time change is still weird. When it is lunchtime over here most of you guys are still in bed. How crazy is that. Today i helped with a kids camp that is similar to Summer Celebration. It had shaving cream pies and all =D

Newport

I am loving it here!! I don't have any pictures cause my camera is dead. But i am going to fix that today :) This place is wonderful! Gavin took me around the city. This place has so much character. I haven't been to a pub yet. But maybe i will fix that soon.

I made it!!!!

I finally made it to Bristol :) Right now it is 10:44 weird. This time difference will take a while getting used to. So i am just waiting to get picked up and then i will be off to newport :)

New Jersey!!

Hey all! I have made it to New Jersey this is a video of me landing. At :45 you can see the smoke of the wheels as they hit the ground. It is so cool!


So ya right now i am charging my laptop. Then i will be eating dinner and then "bored"ing my plane for Bristol!!!! So excited!!

Crazy!

Wow it is hard to believe that in one day i will be leaving! It seemed like such a short time ago that my dad gave me the idea of going to Wales. Thanks so much to everyone who came tonight! You guys are truly amazing friends and i was really blessed! I am going to miss you all alot!
Also i am not sure but this could be my last post in maryland for alittle while. So if it is Goodbye Maryland. I will miss everyone over here. But i will sure not miss Maryland. i will start to miss you when you get more consistant with your weather :)

One Week!

Wow it is hard to believe that i will be leaving in one week! Sometimes it is still hard for me to believe that i wil be going. I hope to update this blog regularly when i am over there. But i have no clue how busy i will be. I will also try to upload pictures here.
So ya i have begun packing...which is not fun. Is it ever fun? Here's to keeping a blog while over in Wales :)
